I purchased this book in the mid PM of 12/17/2013 and finished it, with a few brakes, in the early AM of 12/18/2013. This book had me sad, happy, mad, frustrated, laughing out loud, guessing, and cheering on the good guys and the seemingly bad guys on, to say the least. I love a good book, that can take me on a roller coaster ride that is all over the spectrum of emotions; and this book took me on a great ride. I will not go into the details of the book since they already have been provided in the comments already but I do recommend picking up the first book in the Demonica/Lord of Deliverance series, "Pleasure Unbound". If you are like me you will want to get to know the family of characters, who make reoccurring roles all throughout the book series.

Addition Warning: I meant to "inform" all, that this series does have torture in many forms. Please be aware because it does include rape, mutilation, and flesh eating to say the least, by demons, demon dogs and other demonic thingies; not in all the books mind you, so this series may not be for you. While some torture is touched on briefly, some can be kinda graphic. I would want to be forewarned myself of such so I could make a choice to read (and purchase)such things, not be surprised, then upset and out bucks.

I did a huge Series Binge Read of Lords of Seliverance while my laptop was in shop. I had a lot of fun. ) I am nutty so I read everything out of order. I don't care about spoilers in fact I like them lol.

The back blurb of this book is a spoiler. Reaver and Harvester together. I love Harverster and actually think Reaver is a huge self rightous jerk.

I give the Romance here 3 stars and the action adventure/series arc a 4 star.

This book blasts off with Reaver's rescure of Harvester from endless torture. It is endless action and great world building.

Reaver and Harvester reconcile even without full access of thier memoires. Reaver's earlier King of the A Holes behaviors are not ever fully explained. He was basically just a selfess, prideful, self righous pig. Okay. Hard to buy why Harvester loved him. His new self is much more loveable so I am able to go along.

I adore Harvester. I always have in every book. I am glad she gets her man and and HEA and everything else she gets. She is a bad ass.

If you are reading the series, you must read this book.

A plea to Ione Please give Tavi his own Romance..and all his brother.. Thank you. lol

A side note

I put off reading this series because frankly its gross. Torture, rape, evistacnes, exploding body parts--its all here. Ir is all casual as well,expected, accepted. I can handel it because it makes since in the hellish world that is built but if I really dwelt on the gore, I would throw up. It is so bad that even the immortals in this series have PTSD. However, I am never happy with all the killing and how some lives are utterly value and others are just not. I get a lot of cognitive dissidence when reading this series which makes it hard for me to ever fully settle in.
I have started reading this series completely out of order, so I may have missed a thing or two – however, as you can see, I still loved Reaver! The writing is so good, and the characters grab your heartstrings from the beginning without ever letting go. There are incredible fights, both verbal and physical, romance, and of course a level of intrigue that is very hard to find. Reaver definitely showed a new side of himself here, especially because he managed to stay calm and actually do something constructive by trying to save Harvester. And for once, possible because she’d just endured months of torture, she didn’t have all her shields up, so she was much less prickly than usual.

The contradictions of this story don’t only inhabit Harvester, Reaver has his own, but also, the whole universe where there are angels and demons, and the angels are really supposed to be on the side of ‘good’, there are exceptions to every rule. Fast paced, the story took me first on a long, and quite scary trip to Sheoul, then there were so many other things happening it was hard to remember where, exactly, I was )

Written in third person past tense, mostly from Reaver’s point of view, but also showing the reader quite a bit of what happens inside of Harvester’s head, Reaver is a very solid installment in the Lords of the Underworld / Demonica series. These demons are truly one of a kind, and I had almost forgotten how much I love them!
